Intriguing story. Netherfield has been closed for years and according to the neighborhood the house is haunted. Jane has the ability to "feel" the presence of spirits, but doesn't want her ability, whereas Elizabeth eagerly "hunts" these spirits. The neighborhood has a resident witch, Leticia, who has been helping Jane and Elizabeth develop their talents. Jane wants nothing to do with the spirits, but Lizzy wants to help the spirits trapped to move over to the other side. After intruding on Netherfield with Jane one night both felt a presence in the second floor bedroom. No one was there but the room had such cold air, it took her breath away. Jane convinces Lizzy to leave, but Lizzy wants to go back again tomorrow. Jane refuses to accompany her to Netherfield, so Lizzy goes by herself. Cutting through a small copse of trees, she stops suddenly hearing two men talking. Near enough to hear the discussion, eye finds they are burying a body. Stifling a screen, she waits until they leave to move. The next morning she convinces Jane to help her find the grave that Bertram and John dug. They found nothing in the woods - no ground disturbance, no grave, or footprints. Learning that a new owner was coming to Netherfield, Elizabeth was upset that she could not return to Netherfield. When Jane gets sick at Netherfield, Lizzy has the chance she's been waiting for. Using her crystal to get responses to yes or no questions, she contacts the spirit named Irene. Lizzy asks Mrs. Clayton, the housekeeper if there was a John on the staff. She introduces Lizzy to John who is much older than she expected. Turns out that the scene Lizzy saw in the woods happened forty years ago. Bertrand was a wealthy relative of the owner of Netherfield who forced himself on Irene, and then killed her. He forced John, who was to marry Irene, help bury her. While Lizzy is talking to John, Irene tells her to tell John that he was not at fault, that she loves him, and they will be together soon. Elizabeth went outside to the garden and finally realized how sad the death of Irene was and sat down to cry. The rain mixing with her tears, her mind is made up that with her gift she is to help those spirits that needed her gift.Product details

Cute easy read. Great summer read
I hate it when you authors sell what is a chapter of a manuscript as a "full" book. Write your story in one book and stop fleecing your public with sequels.
Interesting. Way too short for the price. Writing is pretty good though. Jane is a sensative. Lizzy likes to hunt ghosts. I'm game for the second part. I just hope it's a bit cheaper or a bit longer.
